Legumes
There are 70 - 75 types of beans worldwide. About 40 of them can be cooked. The most commonly grown bean types in Turkiye are divided into green (fresh) and dry beans. Dried beans are one of the vegetables that take the longest to grow. With the new methods started to be used in agricultural production, this period has decreased to 10 months. Beans grown in warm climates are difficult to grow in very cold and very hot climate zones. It can be easily grown in regions with Mediterranean and tropical climates.
