Legumes
Lentils require precipitation during the growing period and a warm and dry weather during the ripening period. In Turkiye, red lentils are produced mostly in Southeast Anatolia and green lentils are produced in Central Anatolia. Because they contain high protein, lentils are consumed quite a lot as human food.
